India, China Agree To Ease Border Tensions

India and China have agreed to reduce border tensions.

According to details, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chinese General Wei Feng met on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Moscow on Friday.

During the meeting, the Indian Ministry of Defense said that the two countries agreed that neither side should take any further action.

He said such actions would either complicate the situation or make matters worse in the border areas.

The Chinese Defense Ministry said India was fully responsible for the recent tensions, but China was committed to protecting its national sovereignty and the region.

In this regard, General Wei Feng said that the two sides should promote peace and stability and work to reduce the current tensions.

It may be recalled that the two countries had deployed additional troops along the border with the western Himalayas after a clash in June.
